Chris Hendrixson’s Amazing Wallpaper Project

Planes

Chris Hendrixson is a respected designer from dribbble. Dribbble is a community for designers to showcase their works. Chris Hendrixson has started a small project of his, where he is trying to create a new wallpaper almost every day. The coolest part of the concept, is that once a wallpaper has been put on the site, the wallpaper will never be featured again. That way, you always get an exclusive one-day-only wallpaper. He offers a desktop and mobile-sized version, so you can have the same wallpaper on all devices. When you first come across his site, you may want to scroll down to find the buttons for download.

Wallpaper: God’s Mountains By IrvingGFM

“On the highest mountains of success you may climb,
in the deepest caverns of failure you may fall,
against the wildest tides of truth you may swim,
across the endless lands of maturity you will walk…”

Milton M. Toran

Wallpaper: Notes On Darkness

This picture was taken by John Carey at fiftyfootshadows.  Carey bought this little LED light-up egg when he was in Seoul. It flashes different colors and he took just the right shot when it turned white. Taking the photo when it turned white was really smart because it provided the most contrast to the dark background. Just click the picture to download. This photo was actually taken with the iPhone 5, which has a bigger screen, so the resolution may be a bit different.

Font: Metropolis

Metropolis is a really cool typeface created by Josip Kelava from Melbourne, Australia. Josip states that he used a two-line technique inspired by the industrial movement of the 1920’s. I highly recommend using it for a title or brand name because it can help make an impression and it just looks really good if you use it for big-sized text. Click the picture above to download.

Wallpaper: Between Here and There

Some people don’t see the point of out-of-focus photography because they are so used to shots that have a clear subject. John Carey from fiftyfootshadows took this photo because he wanted to let each person see what they perceive. That’s what makes this photo so special. Click the picture for the download.
